The research
Millions of people in the UK and the world suffer from dry eye symptoms, some very mild and some severe, and finding the right medication is key for managing the symptoms. We have collected and analysed review data from multiple sites, enabling us to give you an accurate view of what customers think of Viscotears Liquid Gel. To get a large enough dataset we will start by discussing Viscotears reviews from multiple websites. Let’s get right to it. For the research we have looked at 4 pharmacy sites where there are multiple customer reviews posted. The following sites were analysed: medino.com, ebay.com, theindependentpharmacy.co.uk and chemist-4-u.com. The total amount of reviews was 248 with the average score on each site as below:
As you can see Viscotears Liquid Gel scores high across the board, all but eBay hitting at least 4.9 out of 5 stars. (eBay still hit 4.8 so it is a very close call and still very highly rated)

What exactly is Viscotears Liquid Gel?
Viscotears is an eye lubricant medication used to treat dry eyes. This is a common condition in which the eyes do not produce sufficient lubrication to keep them moist and artificial tears such as Viscotears help combat these symptoms, which are often described as stinging, burning or scratchy sensation in your eyes, sensitivity to light, eye redness, and a sensation of having something in your eyes.
What are the active ingredients and how do they work?
Viscotears contain carbomer (polyacrylic acid) as its active ingredient, which is a type of polymer that works by increasing the break-up time of the Tear Film resulting in its prolonged residence time on the surface of the eye, providing lubrication and relief to dry and sore eyes. It is part of a group of eye drops known as "artificial tears".
How long does it take for the gel to work?
You should notice improvement instantly, but it may take several weeks of treatment for full effect.
Can I share my Viscotears gel with others?
Do not share Viscotears gel with anyone else, as you may have an eye infection that you could pass on.
Can I use Viscotears with other eye drops?
If you need to use more than one kind of eye drops, wait 5 minutes between treatments. Viscotears should always be the last of the eye drops used.
Will using Viscotears affect my ability to drive or operate machinery?
