2020 round-up: our year in numbers
So long, 2020… the longest year ever is finally drawing to a close. But it hasn’t been all bad.
We’ve been lucky enough to have lots of reasons to celebrate this year. We’ve grown a lot, both on and offline, thanks to 3 new team members at medino HQ and over 6,000 products now in stock.
We’ve even helped over 100,000 new shoppers this year. That’s a bit more than the population of Bath, so we’re thrilled to have a whole city’s worth of customers discovering medino!

Over 1.1 million
That’s around how many people live in Cologne, Germany, known for their festive Christmas markets. It’s also how many people accessed medino on their mobile phone this year. We’re proud to be the pharmacy on your phone – here whenever, and wherever, you need us.
16 bathtubs
That’s how many you’d be able to fill with the number of antibacterial hand gels we sold this year: 29,164, which is roughly 2380 litres. If baths aren’t your thing, it’s also enough for an 8-hour shower. But we wouldn’t recommend either.
26,882 orders
We can’t believe this one either, but that’s how many orders our top packer got ready for delivery this year (all without sacrificing any quality or care). In close second was 25,152. What can we say – they’ve got it down to a fine art!
30,000 stars
We’ve had over 6,000 5* reviews this year! If you add every star together from just those reviews, that’s 30,000 stars awarded to us – which is just over 11 times the number of stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We feel just as famous.
538,020,000 capsules
We had over 9,000 vitamin D orders this year, which is roughly equivalent to 538,020,000 capsules. If only one person was taking one capsule per day, it would take 1,473,018 (and a half) years to get through all of them.
92 acres
That’s about how much recyclable cardboard packaging we sent out this year from over 150,000 orders. It all gets recycled and re-used – hopefully back into plastic-free packaging for next year’s orders, ready to deliver to your door.
