They help to keep the wound closed and can help to prevent scarring. Made to a professional standard, these strips are sterile to prevent infection. In some cases, Steri-Strips are a better option than traditional stitches as they don't need to be sewn into the skin – making them a lot easier to apply and remove once the wound is healed.

These strip skin closures are made of porous, nonwoven material. They're reinforced with filaments for strength and are coated with a hypoallergenic adhesive.

Wash your hands first. Then, push the two sides of the wound together as far as you comfortably can. Put each half of the Steri-Strip over the two sides of the cut to hold the wound together.
