Each Anodesyn Suppository contains:

Lidocaine 10.25mg and allantoin 10.25mg

Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years:

Wash hands before and after use.

Insert one suppository at night and morning into the back passage after each bowel movement.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Children under 12 years:

Please do not use it on children under 12 unless directed by your doctor.

If your symptoms persist after 7 days of treatment, you should ask your doctor for advice.

This product is intended for use inside the anus and should not be ingested.

Do not use more than 4 suppositories in any 24-hour period

If symptoms are severe or prolonged, you should consult a pharmacist or doctor.

Always talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using Anodesyn suppositories during pregnancy.

Talk to your doctor if you have:

• Symptoms that have not cleared up after using the suppositories for 7 days.
• Persistent pain or bleeding from the anus (especially if there is a change in bowel movements).
• A swollen stomach or you are losing weight.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Lidocaine, one of the active ingredients, can be absorbed through the skin and pass into breast milk.

Like all medicines, Anodesyn Suppositories can have side effects of allergic reactions, although these don’t affect everyone. Occasionally may cause diarrhoea.

If you notice this or any other side effect not included above, stop use and inform your doctor or pharmacist. They will advise you further.
