Additionally, the cream should not be applied to eczema, cut, grazed or badly broken skin, areas of sunburnt skin, or large areas of skin.
What is the active ingredient of Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream and how does it work?
The active ingredient in Anthisan, mepyramine maleate, is an antihistamine. Histamine is a naturally occurring substance in the body that is produced during an allergic reaction. By blocking histamine, mepyramine maleate effectively stops the allergic response, leading to a significant reduction in itching, swelling and discomfort.

Mepyramine maleate 2% w/w, ceto-stearyl alcohol, polyethylene, glycol 600 monostearate, castor oil, methyldroxybenzoate, foin coupe (Iragance), silicon antifoam, purified water.
Usage and Instructions
How do I use Anthisan Bite and Sting Cream?
The recommended dose for adults, the elderly, and children over 2 years of age is two or three times a day for up to three days. Apply the cream directly to the affected areas of skin, but do not apply it to eczema, larger areas of skin, cut, grazed, badly broken, or sunburnt skin. If symptoms worsen or persist after 3 days, speak with your GP or pharmacist.
Warnings
Do not use on large areas on large areas of skin.
If the skin is cut or grazed, if you eczema, or on areas of sun burnt skin, If you develop a rash stop using immediately.
Do not use on the same area of skin for more than 3 days.
If symptoms persist consult your doctor or pharmacist.
