Ingredients

Each ml of solution contains 3.2mg hypromellose (0.32% w/v).

Also contains: disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sorbitol (E420) and water for injections

Usage and Instructions

Wash your hands before using your drops
Sit down in front of a mirror so that you can see what you are doing
Wipe your eyes to clear any residual wateriness or discharge
Holding the unit by the label end, remove a single dose unit from the pack
Twist the cap off the single dose unit
Pull your lower eyelid gently down, and then carefully place one drop inside the lower eyelid, in the corner nearest the nose
Release the lower eyelid, and blink a few times to make sure the eye is covered by the liquid
Repeat the procedure for your other eye
This product is for single use only - when you have finished, throw away the single dose unit

Warnings

If irritation continues or worsens, or if new signs or symptoms arise in your eyes, it is important to discontinue the use of Artelac 0.32% w/v Eye Drops Single Dose Unit and seek medical advice.

Soft contact lens wearers should take out their lenses prior to using the eye drops and wait for a minimum of 15 minutes before reinserting them.

When initially using Artelac 0.32% w/v Eye Drops Single Dose Unit, it may lead to temporary blurred vision. If this occurs, it is important to wait until your vision has fully cleared before driving or operating machinery.

Side Effects

In extremely rare cases (less than 1 in 10,000), corneal calcification has been reported in some individuals with severely damaged corneas who have used eye drops containing phosphate.

The occurrence of brief blurred vision or a mild stinging sensation upon using Artelac 0.32% w/v Eye Drops Single Dose Unit is not known.
