How does CalCough Infant Syrup work?

Glycerol, the primary active component, gently coats the throat, easing irritation and guarding against further discomfort.

What should I do if symptoms persist?

Should symptoms persist beyond 3 days or worsen, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Glycerol 0.75ml

Children from 3 months to 5 years.

Age: Children 3 months to 1 year, Dose: One 5ml spoonful.

Age: Children 1 - 5 years, Dose: Two 5ml spoonfuls.

Give the dose 3 or 4 times within 24 hours, if needed.

If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult your doctor.

Do not give to babies under 3 months.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your child has an intolerance to some sugars. This products contains maltitol. If you have been told by your doctor that your child has an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before using this medicine. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes.

Maltitol may also have a mild laxative effect.

If anyone has taken too much of this product, contact a doctor or your nearest Accident and Emergency Department (Casualty), taking this pack with you.

If you forget a dose, give the next dose when needed and do not give a double dose.

This medicine is unlikely to cause side-effects

unless your child is allergic to the ingredients.
