This Care Aqueous Calamine Cream acts as a mild astringent to soothe the symptoms of sunburn and skin conditions like chickenpox. This gel also acts to alleviate symptoms of frostbite and chill blains. To soothe your skin, apply the cream all over the affected areas of skin and leave it to dry for effective results.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Calamine 4% w/w, Zinc Oxide 3% w/w.
Also contains: Liquid Paraffin, Glyceryl Monostearate (E471), Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, and Purified Water
Usage and Instructions
Apply liberally to dry clean skin as required.
Warnings
- Please be aware that this product contains liquid paraffin, which is highly flammable. Keep away from open or gas fires or hobs and naked flames, including candles etc. Also, do not smoke when using this paraffin product.
- When using this cream, bedding and clothing should be washed at a high temperature daily to minimise the paraffin build-up.
- If you accidentally swallow some, see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show the medicine you have swallowed.
- Do not use this cream if you or your child have an allergy to phenoxyethanol or any other ingredient listed.
- Using Aqueous Calamine Cream during pregnancy and breastfeeding is unlikely to have any ill effects when used as directed. If unsure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
- If you are having an X-ray, do not apply beforehand as it may affect the outcome of the X-ray examination.
- This medicine contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (eg: contact dermatitis)

There are no known side effects from using Aqueous Calamine Cream as directed. If you notice any side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do.
