What are common symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?
Along with abdominal cramping and discomfort, people with IBS may experience bloating, gas, constipation (where the stool comes out either lumpy or hard), diarrhoe (where the stool comes out loose or watery), alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhoe, bowel movements that feel uncontrollably urgent, difficult to pass, or incomplete, and clear or white mucus with the stool. It is important to note that symptoms can vary from person to person, and some people may experience only a few symptoms while others may experience many.
What causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?
While the exact cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is still unknown, there are several theories about what triggers the condition. One theory suggests that the colon becomes hypersensitive and overreacts to mild stimulation, causing bowel muscles to spasm and resulting in diarrhoe or constipation. Another theory is that the body's own chemicals, such as serotonin and gastrin, which control nerve signals between the brain and digestive tract, may be involved. Additionally, some researchers are exploring the possibility that certain bacteria in the bowels may be linked to the development of IBS.
What is the active ingredient in Colpermin IBS Relief and how does it work?
The active ingredient in Colpermin IBS Relief Capsules is peppermint oil, which is an antispasmodic used to relieve spasms and cramps in the large bowel caused by Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Peppermint oil works by relaxing the spasm of the bowel wall, which in turn relieves pain and allows pockets of gas to pass along the bowel and out of the body.
What symptoms or conditions can be treated with Colpermin IBS Relief?
Colpermin IBS Relief Capsules can be used to relieve spasms and cramps that occur in the large bowel for individuals suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take Colpermin IBS Relief Capsules?

How can I manage my IBS symptoms?
Managing IBS symptoms involves identifying triggers that can cause flare-ups such as stress, certain foods or drinks, hormonal changes, and lack of sleep. Once you have identified your triggers, you can make a plan to avoid them and work on keeping problems with constipation, diarrhoea, belly pain, and bloating to a minimum. It may also be helpful to keep track of how you react to the most common symptom triggers and learn to prevent them. However, since IBS is different for everyone, it is important to consult with a healthcare provider to develop an individualized management plan.
