Ingredients
Active ingredient per 5ml: Pholcodine 5mg
Glycerol 1.36g/5ml Excipient(s) with known effect. Each 5ml contains Propylene Glycol 31mg, Sodium Benzoate 2.5mg, Sorbitol 920mg and Maltitol Liquid 1150mg Purified Water Citric Acid (E330) Caramel (E150) Maltitol Liquid (contains sorbitol E420) Blackcurrant & Menthol Flavour FLA94255 (contains E1520 propylene glycol) Capsicum Oleoresin 500,000 WS Anise Flavour L7802 (contains E1520 propylene glycol) Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Sodium Benzoate (E211) Saccharin Sodium
Usage and Instructions
Shake the bottle before use.
Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls, three or four times a day.
Don't exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not give to children under 12, unless on the advice of a medical practitioner.
Don't take this product with other cough and cold medicines.
Do not take Covonia Dry Cough Sugar Free Formula if:
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients
- You are pregnant, suspect you might be or are breastfeeding
- You have liver disease
- You have shallow breath or breathing difficulties
- You have chest problems or have had chest infections for a long time
- You have an asthma attack
- You have taken MAOIs for depression within the last two weeks
Side Effects
There are some side effects associated with this product, however not everyone will get them.
The following side effects may be associated with the use of pholcodine:
