What are the active and inactive ingredients in Difflam Spray?
The active ingredient is benzydamine hydrochloride at a concentration of 0.15%. Inactive ingredients include glycerol, saccharin, sodium bicarbonate, ethanol, methylhydroxybenzoate, mouthwash flavour, polysorbate 20, and purified water.
What makes benzydamine an effective treatment for mouth-related pain and inflammation?
Benzydamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), functions by inhibiting the production of hormones responsible for inflammation and discomfort in the body. As it is specifically formulated as a mouthwash, mouth spray, or lozenge, benzydamine directly targets pain and inflammation in the oral cavity. This targeted approach makes it a suitable remedy for various mouth conditions, such as mouth ulcers or sore throats
