The Vagisan Cremolum is a unique pessary, ideal for those who do not want to use an applicator. It melts in the heat of the vagina, forming a cream which creates a lasting soothing effect against vaginal dryness.

Regular use of Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum can help to prevent irritation and inflammation in the vagina.

Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum contains a small ammount of lactic acid-calcium. This gives the cream a pH (acidity) of 4.5. Since the normal pH in the vagina is between 3.8 and 4.5, the lactic acid buffer system in the pessary helps to maintain a healthy vaginal environment.

Vagisan Cremolum contains no hormones and, if necessary, can be used alongside hormone replacement therapy or be alternated with vaginal creams or pessaries that do contain hormones (oestrogens).

The symptoms associated with vaginal dryness can severely impact the quality of life. The sensation of dryness is often accompanied by other symptoms, such as itching, burning, minor lesions and pain in the vagina, the vaginal opening and the external intimate area. In many cases, these symptoms also make sexual intercourse painful.

There can be many contibuting factors to intimate dryness. For example: after uterine or ovarian surgery, during pregnancy and lactation, and when taking the Pill, hormone deficiencies, hormone fluctuations. Some metabolic disorders (e. g. diabetes), medicines, radiotherapy for tumors, and even stress can be associated with dryness in the internal and external intimate area.

For use inside the vagina, insert one Cremolum in the vagina, preferably before going to bed.

It can be used once a day or less often as needed (e.g. 2-3 time per week) depending on individual symptoms.

Dr. Wolff's Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum may be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

As Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum takes about 20–30 minutes to melt and form a cream in the vagina, the pessary should not be used immediately before sexual intercourse. Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum does not contain any spermicides (i.e. substances that kill sperm) and therefore does not protect against unwanted pregnancy.

Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum must not be used in case of a known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients. The pessaries should not be used immediately after childbirth.

Similarly, do not use Dr.Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum if you have a vaginal infection (e.g. yeast infection); in this event, you should talk to your doctor.
