Ingredients

Active Ingredient:

• Chloramphenicol (10 mg per gram of ointment).

Other Ingredients:

• Liquid paraffin
• White petroleum

Application Instructions:

1. Wash and dry your hands.
2. Ensure the tube seal is intact before use.
3. Remove the cap and avoid touching the nozzle.
4. Use a mirror to help apply the ointment.
5. Pull down the lower eyelid and look up.
6. Squeeze approximately 1 cm of ointment into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye.
7. Close your eye briefly.
8. Repeat for the other eye if needed.
9. Replace the cap securely after use.

Dosage:

• Apply a small amount (about 1 cm) to the affected eye(s) as directed.
• If using drops during the day, apply the ointment at night before bed.
• Do not use for more than 5 days without consulting your doctor.

Missed Dose:

• If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember unless it's close to the next dose. Do not double the dose.

Do Not Use If You:

• Are allergic to chloramphenicol or any other ingredients in this ointment.
• Have a history of blood problems, such as low blood cell counts.
• Have vision problems, eye pain, or unusual eye appearance.

• Have glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, or wear contact lenses (unless advised by a doctor).

• You have other eye problems or are taking other medications, especially bone marrow depressants or chemotherapy.

Common Side Effects:
