Ingredients
Each tablet contains 2mg of Loperamide hydrochloride and contains Simeticone (equivalent to 125 mg dimeticone)
Usage and Instructions
Adults over 18 years:
Initial: 2 tablets

Adolescents between 12 and 18 years:
Initial: 1 tablet
Then: 1 tablet after each episode of diarrhoea
Don't take more than 4 tablets in any 24-hour period
Don't take for more than 2 days.
Warnings
Do not take this medicine if the following applies to you:
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to loperamide hydrochloride, simethicone, or any of the other ingredients of the caplets (see patient information leaflet).
- If you have a high temperature (e.g. above 38º C) or blood in your stools.
- If you are having a flare-up of an inflammatory bowel condition like ulcerative colitis.
- If you have severe diarrhoea after taking antibiotics.
- If you are constipated or your stomach appears swollen.
- If any of these apply to you, get advice from a doctor or pharmacist without taking Imodium Plus Caplets.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, think you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Do not take this medicine if you are breastfeeding as small amounts of the medicine may get into your milk. Talk to your doctor about a suitable treatment.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, loperamide can cause side effects, but many people have no side effects or only minor ones.
