Multi-Guard® Pregnancy provides the Department of Health recommended 400µg of Folic Acid, in the body-ready, methylated form, which has been shown to raise folate status more quickly than the standard form of folic acid. alongside optimal levels of the other 21 vitamins and minerals required at this important time. It also provides 130mg of choline, which contributes to the normal liver function of the foetus and exclusively breastfed infants. Adequate choline intake has also been shown to decrease the risk of neural tube defects and improve brain function in breast-fed infants.
