Lipobase contains light liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin. Apply a thin layer of cream to the skin one to three times per day, or more often if necessary. You may apply Lipobase to your face. It does not stain your clothing and can be easily washed off with water. You can use the cream more often on places where the cream is likely to be removed by washing or rubbing. The duration of treatment depends on the condition of the skin. There is no maximum duration.

Lipobase includes paraffin, so it is crucial to advise patients against smoking or getting close to open flames, as it poses a significant risk of severe burns. It is important to note that fabric (such as clothing, bedding, and dressings) that comes into contact with this product has an increased susceptibility to catching fire, presenting a serious fire hazard. While washing clothes and bedding may help decrease the accumulation of the product, it cannot entirely eliminate it.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Lipobase may cause allergic reactions of the skin.
