Over The Counter (OTC)

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: 1ml of eye drops contains 20mg of Sodium Cromoglicate (2.0% w/v).

Other Ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium edetate, Water for injections.

Usage and Instructions

To prepare the device for use, simply tighten the cap on the nozzle. The spike in the cap will pierce the tip of the vial. After the vial has been pierced, you can then dispense the eye drops with gentle amounts of pressure. Please ensure that you replace the cap after every use.

For adults and children over 6 years: Gently squeeze 1 or 2 drops into each eye, 4 times a day. This medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.

Before first opening, the bottle: This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.

After first opening the bottle:

Do not store above 25°C. Discard 28 days after the first opening. Do not use the after the date shown on the pack.

Warnings

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not use whilst wearing soft contact lenses.

Discard the product four weeks after opening.
Ocular solutions, if handled wrongly, can become contaminated by common bacteria and cause eye infections. If you do develop any other eye condition whilst using this product, you should see your doctor immediately.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Stop using this medicine and see a doctor as soon as possible if:

The itching, redness or swelling gets worse. You may be allergic to these drops.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if any of the side effects gets serious or lasts longer than a few days, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this description:

Stinging or burning in your eyes or blurring of eyesight. This should only last for a short time and occurs immediately after using the eye drops.
Mild eye irritation.
