What conditions or symptoms can be treated with Myribase Gel?
Myribase gel is an effective treatment for several conditions, including eczema, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis, and pruritus. These conditions can cause dry, itchy, and inflamed skin that can be uncomfortable and painful. Myribase gel works by moisturizing and protecting the skin, reducing inflammation, and relieving itchiness.
What are the active ingredients in MyriBase and how do they work?
MyriBase Gel contains Isopropyl myristate 15% w/w and Liquid paraffin 15% w/w, which are simple emollients that have been used extensively in similar emollients for dry skin conditions. The gel helps to form a barrier on the surface of the skin, which softens, moisturises, and protects the skin by trapping moisture and restoring its normal protective function. This barrier also prevents the skin from drying out and acts as a barrier to irritants caused by the application of soaps, foaming additives, and fragrances used in ordinary cleansing products.
How should MyriBase Gel be stored?
MyriBase Gel should be kept out of the sight and reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date shown on the container. It should be stored below 250C. After using the 500ml bottle, it is advisable to lock it to prevent discharge of the cream if the pump is accidentally depressed. Similarly, for the 100g pack, the cap should be replaced after use.

Usage and Instructions
What is the best way of applying MyriBase Gel?
To apply MyriBase Gel, you should liberally apply it to the affected area, smoothing it into the skin along the line of hair growth rather than rubbing it in. It is best to apply the gel when the skin is moist and allow time for any excess cream to soak into the skin. For best results, it should ideally be applied at least three or four times a day, or as often as recommended by a healthcare professional, to keep the skin well moisturised and in good condition.
Side Effects
What are the possible side effects of using MyriBase Gel?
MyriBase Gel has the potential to cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In some rare cases, it can cause irritant or allergic skin reactions on extremely sensitive skin. These rare effects tend to occur during or soon after the first few uses. If your skin condition seems to look or feel worse, or if you get rashes or hypersensitivity reactions, stop using this gel and tell your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
