Ingredients
98% Manuka Honey (Pharmaceutical grade Leptospermum sp), Sodium Chloride and Purified Water.
Usage and Instructions
Adults and children over 12 years old should apply Optimel Manuka Honey Forte Eye Gel 3 times daily, once ideally before bed. Replace the cap after use.
When using for Meibomian Gland Disease, you an apply it directly to the eyelid either from the tube or with the help of a cotton bud.
Warnings
This product is for single-person use only. Do not share the tube with someone else in your household as it could cause bacteria to spread.
Do not use if you have a history of hypersensitivity or sensitivity to honey, food gums or benzoate preservatives.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before use, and do not insert them for at least 30 minutes after using these drops.
This product is not for children under 12 years old unless under the supervision of an eye care professional.
Since this is a gel, it can make your vision a bit blurry after applying it. Wait until it's fully absorbed before driving.
Side Effects
After applying the gel it can make your vision a bit blurry.
You can experience some short-lived stinging when you first apply this gel. Red may also occur but this should disappear shortly. This is not a side effects (unless it lasts for too long) and it should improve the more you use the product.
If you experience irritation or prolonged side effects from this product, wash your eyes with fresh water, pat dry with a clean towel and speak to one of our pharmacists or your GP if you prefer.
