How does Ovex Tablets Family Pack work?

Ovex Tablets contain the active ingredient mebendazole, which works by blocking the energy supply for the threadworms, causing them to die within a few days. It is important to note that adult worms must be taken out of the body through bowel movements, so it is crucial to encourage regular bowel movements during treatment.

Mebendazole 100mg.

Usage and Instructions

The treatment is a single tablet per person.

Adults and children over 2 years:

Take one tablet only.

The tablets are orange flavoured and may be chewed or swallowed whole.

Crush tablet before giving to young children.

Not recommended in children under 2 years.

A single dose of this medicine will kill threadworms. However, it may not destroy their eggs, which can cause re-infection and also infect other people. It is therefore strongly recommended that all members of the family (except pregnant and breast feeding women and children under two) are treated at the same time and that precautions are taken to prevent re-infection.

If symptoms continue, tell your doctor.

In case of re-infection, a second tablet can be taken after two weeks.
