Usage and Instructions
Adults 16 years and over: Take one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours, when you need it. Take no more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
Children aged 12 to 15: Take one tablet to one and a half tablets every four hours.
Children aged 10 to 12: Take one tablet, every four hours.
Children aged 6 to 10: Take half a tablet every four hours.
Not for use in under 6-year-olds.
Warnings
Paracetamol isn't suitable for some people. Talk to your doctor if you take:
- The blood-thinner warfarin – paracetamol can increase the risk of bleeding if you take it regularly
- Medicine to treat epilepsy
- Medicine to treat tuberculosis (TB)
Side Effects
Side effects with Paracetamol are not common, but effects may occur if the recommended dose is exceeded.
The maximum dosage that does not lead to side effects is 4g per day, exceeding this dosage can cause severe liver toxicity.
