Pyridoxine 10mg tablets are plain white uncoated biconvex tablets.
Active Ingredients: Pyridoxine hydrochloride

Usage and Instructions
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and elderly:
- To prevent nerve damage (peripheral neuritis) caused by isoniazid is one tablet per day
- To treat nerve damage (peripheral neuritis) caused by isoniazid is 5 tablets three times per day
- To treat low levels of Vitamin B6 in the body is 2 to 5 tablets up to three times per day.
Children over 12 years:
- To prevent nerve damage (peripheral neuritis) caused by isoniazid is one tablet per day
- To treat nerve damage (peripheral neuritis) caused by isoniazid is 3 to 5 tablets two to three times per day
- To treat low levels of Vitamin B6 in the body is 2 to 5 tablets up to three times per day.
Pyridoxine tablets are not recommended for use in children under 12 years old.
You can take Pyridoxine Tablets with or without food and drink.
Warnings
If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice. Do not exceed the stated dose.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines:
- Levodopa, a drug used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease
- Isoniazid, used to treat tuberculosis
- Cycloserine, used to treat tuberculosis or urinary tract infections
- Oral contraceptives (“the pill”)
- Penicillamine, used to treat arthritis and other conditions
- Hydralazine, used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure
- Phenytoin or phenobarbitone used to treat epilepsy
Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- If you take large doses of Pyridoxine Tablets for a long time you may develop problems with your nerves (peripheral neuritis)
- One of the symptoms of peripheral neuritis can be pins and needles
