Ingredients

1g of ointment contains: 0.10 ml of tincture from Calendula officinalis L., herba (Calendula herb) (equivalent to 50 mg of Calendula herb) and 0.15 ml of tincture from Hypericum perforatum L., herba (St John’s Wort herb) (equivalent to 50 mg of St John’s Wort herb). Extraction solvent for both tinctures: Ethanol 86 % w/w. Other ingredients are Wool Fat (Lanolin), Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Yellow Beeswax, Ethanol and Purified Water.

Usage and Instructions

For application to the skin only. Wash hands before and after use.

Adults, those aged 65+ and children over 12 years:

Clean the affected area and apply directly or on a dry dressing two or three times daily. Do not use for more than 1 week.

Warnings

If symptoms worsen or persist after one week, consult a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner such as our pharmacist.

If signs of a skin infection are observed a doctor or other qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.

Discontinue use if redness, irritation or dry skin occurs.
Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
Avoid exposure of affected areas to UV light e.g. sunbeds, sunlight.
Contains wool fat (lanolin) which may cause local skin reactions e.g. contact dermatitis.

For external use only. Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.

Side Effects

Like all medicines Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve Ointment can cause side effects although not everybody gets them. Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve Ointment can cause localised skin reactions such as skin sensitisation and a condition called contact dermatitis. If your skin feels itchy, you develop a patch of dry, red, inflamed skin or a rash you should stop using Weleda HyperCal Wound Salve Ointment and consult your qualified healthcare practitioner or healthcare professional such as our pharmacist.
