What is Xailin Gel?

Xailin Gel is a multi-dose eye gel used for the treatment of dry eye symptoms such as soreness, irritation, and dryness. It contains carbomer 0.2% w/w, sodium perborate, and excipients, and is designed to provide cooling and soothing relief while minimizing irritation.

How do carbomer gels work?

Carbomer eye gels are used to relieve eye dryness and soreness. The gel produces a fine transparent film on your eye. This protects, soothes and lubricates the surface of your eye and makes it feel more comfortable.

When should Xailin Gel be used?

Xailin Gel should be used to hydrate and protect the eye in conditions that cause dry eye sensations, such as a result of ocular surface disorders. It can be used two to four times a day as needed or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. It is not recommended for use in children, and contact lenses should be removed prior to use.

Carbomer (Carbopol 980), Sodium perborate, Dequest 2060S, Sodium hydroxide, Sorbitol and Water for injection.

The usual dosage is one drop to be applied two to four times a day as needed, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Rotate the cap anticlockwise to break the seal.

Wash and dry your hands well before use.

Remove the cap and tilt your head back, looking up.

Gently pull down your lower eyelid and squeeze one drop of Xailin Gel into the pocket between your eye and eyelid.

Blink your eye a few times to disperse the gel over the surface of your eye.

Carefully wipe away any excess Xailin Gel around the eyelid with a tissue.

Repeat the process for the other eye, if required.

Make sure to replace the outer cap on the container, trying not to touch the applicator tip with anything, including your eye or fingers.

Leave at least 30 minutes between administrations of any other ophthalmic drugs.

Remove your contact lenses before applying this product.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not share this product with anyone else, and avoid touching the nozzle against your eye.

Discard the product 28 days after opening.
