Active ingredients in 10ml: Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate 200 mg, Sodium Alginate 1000 mg.

Adults, adults 65+, and children 12 years and over should take 5-10ml (one or two 5ml teaspoons) of Acidex Advance after each meal and before bedtime.

Shake the bottle well before use. If your symptoms haven’t improved after 7 days, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Children under twelve years should only take Acidex Advance on medical advice.

Not to be taken by those who are allergic or intolerant to any ingredient of the medicine. Check the leaflet provided with the medicine if you know you have specific allergies or intolerances.

Acidex is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Acidex contains sodium and potassium and may not be suitable for people who are on a strict salt, sodium or potassium restricted diet, for example those with heart or kidney disease. Ask your pharmacist for advice.

Acidex also contains calcium so may not be suitable for people with high levels of calcium in their blood, or with a history of kidney stones that contain calcium. Again, check with your doctor or pharmacist if this applies to you.

Like all medications, Acidex Advance can have side effects although not everyone will experience them. These side effects include symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, so if you experience any of the following side effects make sure to seek immediate medical assistance:

• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Hives
• Swelling of the face, mouth, tongue, or throat

Other side effects you may experience include:

• Diarrhoea
• Feeling sick
• Being sick
