What are the main ingredients or components of Acidex Oral Suspension?

The active ingredients in each 5ml are sodium bicarbonate 133.5 mg, sodium alginate 250 mg and calcium carbonate 80 mg.

The other ingredients are: Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Saccharin Sodium, Ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Butyl parahydroxybenzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Peppermint Oil, Purified Water.

Adults and children over 12 years old: Shake bottle well before use. Take 10-20ml (two to four teaspoons) after meals and at bedtime

Children 6-12 years: Should be given only on medical advice.

If taking other medication consult a medical professional before taking this product. Leave 1-2 hours between taking Acidex Oral Suspension and any other medication.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children. Contains parahydroxybenzoates (paraben, E214, E216) which may cause an allergic reaction (possibly delayed).
• This product is considered high in sodium. This should be particularly taken into account for those on a low-salt diet (e.g. in some cases of congestive heart failure and renal impairment).
• This product contains calcium. Care needs to be taken in treating patients with hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis and recurrent calcium-containing renal calculi.

• Do not refrigerate, freeze or use after the expiry date shown on the bottle.
