An effective solution for alleviating the pain, itching, and irritation associated with haemorrhoids, Anusol Plus HC Ointment combines five active ingredients to provide quick relief. Suitable for adults over the age of 18, this buff-coloured ointment is designed to reduce inflammation, soothe discomfort, and protect sore areas.
The five active ingredients in Anusol Plus HC Ointment are hydrocortisone acetate, a mild steroid that reduces inflammation; zinc oxide, an astringent that soothes and protects raw areas; bismuth salts, which possess antiseptic properties; balsam Peru, an ingredient that aids healing and provides protection; and benzyl benzoate, known for its mild antiseptic qualities.
Anusol Plus HC Ointment is specifically formulated to address the symptoms of both internal and external piles, as well as related conditions like anal itching. For optimal results, adults should clean the affected area and apply the ointment night and morning, as well as after each bowel movement, with a maximum of four applications in 24 hours. This product is not recommended for use beyond seven days or for individuals under the age of 18.

Hydrocortisone acetate 0.25, Bismuth Oxide 0.875, Zinc Oxide 10.75, Bismuth Subgallate 2.25, Balsam Peru 1.875, Benzyl Benzoate 1.25.
Usage and Instructions
Make sure the affected area is clean and dry, and apply the ointment using a gauze dressing.
Use sparingly at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement up to 4 applications per day.
For internal conditions use the rectal nozzle provided and clean after each use. Do not share this product with another person.
Do not use for more than 7 days consecutively.
This product is not suitable for those below 18 years of age.
Warnings
Do not use Anusol Plus HC Ointment:
- If you have ever had a bad reaction to Anusol or any of its ingredients
- If you have fungal, viral or bacterial skin sores
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Anusol Plus HC Ointment:
- If you have rectal bleeding or if you are in doubt whether any bleeding you have experienced is caused by piles
- If you are taking or using any other medicines, including corticosteroids (a type of anti-inflammatory drug e.g. hydrocortisone)
- If you are pregnant
