Buscopan Cramps Tablets provide fast, effective relief from stomach and bowel cramps which cause pain and discomfort associated with your digestive tract, and can also be used to relieve symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Buscopan Cramps Tablets treat the cause of the pain rather than masking the symptoms. It contains the active ingredient, hyoscine butylbromide, which has an anti-spasmodic action that relaxes the spasm in the digestive tract to ease the pain and discomfort of stomach cramps in one simple tablet.

Usage and Instructions

When used for Abdominal Cramps:

Adults and children 12 years and over:

Take two tablets up to 4 times a day.

Children 6 t0 12 years: Take one tablet up to 3 times a day.

When used for IBS:

Adults and children 12 years and over:

Start by taking one tablet 3 times a day. If more relief is needed, you can increase your dose to a maximum of two tablets 4 times a day.

Warnings

Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Not to be used if you have glaucoma (an eye condition), megacolon (a vary enlarged colon), myasthenia gravis (a very rare muscle weakness), or are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide or the other ingredients.

As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid the use during pregnancy and lactation.

It should not be taken for extended periods or daily without investigating the cause of pain.

Side Effects

Patients should seek urgent ophthalmological advice in case they should develop a painful, red eye with loss of vision whilst or after taking Buscopan.

Buscopan Cramps should be used with caution in conditions characterised by tachycardia.
