Adults and children 6 years and older who weigh more than 30kg (4st 7lb):

Take one tablet, once daily.

If you have severe liver problems your doctor or pharmacist may advise you to take the recommended amount every other day. If this applies to you follow their instructions.

What is in Clarityn Allergy 14 Tablets?

Clarityn Allergy 14 Tablets is a non-drowsy antihistamine that contains an active ingredient called loratadine. When you have an allergic reaction, your body produces histamines. Loratadine blocks the receptors in your brain that react to this chemical to give you relief from allergy symptoms.

Do not give to children under 2 years or who weigh less than 30kg.

At the recommended dose, Clarityn Allergy 14 Tablets is not expected to cause you to be drowsy or less alert. However, very rarely some people experience drowsiness, which may affect their ability to drive or use machinery.

Do not take Clarityn Allergy 14 Tablets:

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to loratadine or any of its other ingredients.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

If you have liver disease.

This drug usually has no side effects. If you have any unusual effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
