Usage and Instructions
After brushing and flossing your teeth, swish Ecolab Antiseptic Mouthwash around your mouth for up to 30 seconds, and then spit it out.
Do not swallow the mouthwash.
Do not dilute this mouthwash with water or any other liquid, and avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing your mouth for at least 1 hour after using the mouthwash.
To decrease the effect of the mouthwash on how food tastes, only brush your teeth and use this mouthwash after eating, and you'll also enjoy the benefits and feel of a clean, fresh mouth for longer.
Warnings
This Chlorhexidine-containing mouthwash can cause brown staining of the teeth, however, this is not permanent, and can largely be avoided by:
- Brushing with toothpaste 3 times daily, and brushing more on the stained areas.
- Using a 'tartar control' toothpaste and an electric toothbrush which may be more effective.
- Seeing your dentist at least every 6 months for tooth cleaning/tartar removal.
- Seeing your dentist/hygienist to remove staining from this medication that may occur on dental work (such as crowns or veneers).
Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. This product may cause:
- Non-permanent tooth/tongue staining
