Description
Movicol Lemon and Lime 13.7g Sachet Powder offers an effective solution for those struggling with constipation, providing relief for adults, adolescents, and the elderly. This oral treatment, which is suitable for individuals aged 12 and above, can alleviate chronic constipation and even faecal impaction – a severe case of constipation.
Each sachet of Movicol contains macrogol 3350, an osmotic laxative that remains inert as it travels through the gut. By retaining water in the bowel, macrogol 3350 softens and increases the volume of stools, making them easier to pass. Additionally, the sachets include essential electrolytes such as sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride, which help maintain the body's balance of sodium, potassium, and water during the treatment process.
To use, simply mix the contents of one sachet with water, creating a drink that can be taken with or without food. Movicol is even safe for consumption during pregnancy, though consulting a doctor or pharmacist beforehand is advisable.
