Peptac Liquid contains three active ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, sodium alginate, and calcium carbonate. Check and ensure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine before taking it. This medicine contains Butyl Parahydroxybenzoate, which can cause an allergic reaction in some.

Tell your doctor first if you're taking any other medicines, especially ACE inhibitors, analgesics, antibiotics, antiepileptics, antifungals, antimalarials antipsychotics, bisphosphonates, lithium and penicillamine.

You may experience occasional, mild side effects, including constipation, wind, and stomach cramps after taking Peptac liquid.

Very rarely (less than 1 in 10,000 patients treated) an allergic reaction to the ingredients may occur. Symptoms of this may include skin rash, difficulty in breathing, dizziness, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat. If you experience these or any side effects, stop taking the product and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
