Vitamin D (ergocalciferol-D2, cholecalciferol-D3, alfacalcidol) is a fat-soluble vitamin that helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus. Having the right amount of vitamin D, calcium, and phosphorus is important for building and keeping strong bones.

We need vitamin D to help the body absorb calcium and phosphate from our diet. These minerals are important for healthy bones, teeth and muscles.

A lack of vitamin D, known as vitamin D deficiency, can cause bones to become soft and weak, which can lead to bone deformities.

In children, for example, a lack of vitamin D can lead to rickets. In adults, it can lead to osteomalacia, which causes bone pain and tenderness.

In the UK, sunlight doesn't contain enough UVB radiation in winter (October to early March) for our skin to be able to make vitamin D.

During these months, we rely on getting our vitamin D from food sources (including fortified foods) and supplements.

Pro D3 Capsules are free from gelatine, preservatives, salt, yeast, peanut and soya and are Vegetarian and HMC approved.

Active Ingredients:

Vitamin D3: Cholecalciferol 1000IU equivalent to 25mcg

Other ingredients: Acacia gum, Sucrose, Starch, Medium chain triglycerides.

Antioxidant: Vitamin E.

Bulking agent: Microcrystalline cellulose.

Anti-caking agent: Magnesium stearate.

Outer capsule shell (light green): hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, brilliant blue FCF, black iron oxide.

Usage and Instructions

ADULTS: One capsule daily or as advised by a healthcare professional.

Take capsule with water after food for maximum absorption.

Do not chew. Do not exceed the recommended intake.

If you forget to take your Pro D3 Capsule take it as soon as you remember.
