Usage and Instructions
Adults, the elderly and children 12 years and over:
Take one capsule with a glass of water up to 4 times a day if necessary.
Warnings
Do not give to children under the age of 12.
Do not take for longer periods than seven days unless your doctor agrees.
Do not take this medication if you have cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, closed angle glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, prostatic enlargement or phaeochromocytoma.
Side Effects
The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with phenylephrine:
- Feeling sick or vomiting.
- Headache.
- Increased heart rate (tachycardia).
- Awareness of your heart beat (palpitations).
