What symptoms or conditions can be treated with Zirtek Allergy Relief?
Zirtek Allergy Relief effectively treats symptoms associated with hay fever, pet allergies, dust allergies, and urticaria (hives). It provides relief from sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, runny or blocked nose, and skin rashes.
How does Zirtek Allergy Relief work?
Zirtek Allergy Relief works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction. By inhibiting histamine, it reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and inflammation, providing relief for up to 24 hours.
Is Zirtek Allergy Relief suitable for children?
Zirtek Allergy Relief tablets are suitable for children aged 6 years and above, as well as adults. However, for children between 6-12 years old, the recommended dosage is half a tablet twice daily, rather than one full tablet.
How does Zirtek Allergy Relief compare to other antihistamines?
Zirtek Allergy Relief contains cetirizine, a second-generation antihistamine known for its long-lasting effects and low incidence of drowsiness. It offers comparable efficacy to other popular antihistamines while providing 24-hour relief with a single daily dose, making it a convenient choice for many allergy sufferers.
